Has anyone seen that yet? Honestly, I don't check that site every day so it could've been there for a while.
I rarely go there.

and honestly - if bubba or howard leave Sirius - the podcast is the only uncensored option left :idk:

and Howard has enough money to take a couple mil loss if the thing tanks and then he can come back for an even bigger payday (well if Sirius is still around which I doubt)

Isn't "podcast" just a term that is internet broadcast? I don't think it precludes being live.

It's pretty much a blanket term for any sort of show that's archived for later download.
And I can't tell you the amount of comments saying "but I don't have an iPod" when Bubba first discussed the possibility. :lol: That's why we need another term.

Basically, Bubba sets up the stream system, charges the talent to use it, then those people could charge their followers to subscribe to that channel!! On the internet it is no more than having several multicast addresses for different channels.

podcasts can be high quality 192k or even higher - but most that are an hour or more cut the bitrate back so the file is only 5mb or so - for quick downloading and so it doesn't eat up your ipod memory
the ipod (which podcasting was pretty much designed for IMO) doesn't like large files - it kills the battery as it must read and index more shit.... they say you should split any large files to help promote a longer battery life
yadda yadda yadda
but I digress - podcasts can sound awesome... the problem though is streaming audio live - that becomes a problem in good quality as huge streams suck unless you got wicked highspeed
I dunno about charging talent - but if you had a way to keep track of podcasts being downloaded you could pay them a commision of what they sell basically

That is why you use multicast!! You only have one stream. High quality video is only 384 K, the best is like 768k. Audio is much lower.

HDTV looks the best on those antena's now - dead serious - I wouldn't believe it but I have seen it side by side on the same tv... satellite HDTV looked like ass compared to free HD Antena

Well that's you. I have a 15-20 MB connection. At work we have an 80M and a 30M backup connection!! You could have a hell of a lot of channels on that type of circuit.
Right now I bet Bubba has a split T-1. 7 channels for voice, and the rest for internet/data.
I'm more talking about having his own internet radio station!! uncut, uncensored, live or replay. You don't download it, you listen to it. Or you could offer it for download!!

Work sucked ,as i knew it would but it pays money so i go ...

Most or a lot of them have broadband internet in their trucks!! Which is becoming cheaper as well. 4G is on the market now, and more is on the way.
